Meet your guide and begin your exploration of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Visit the Strahov Monastery and its library that was originally built in 12th century. The library is beautifully decorated and contains a collection of more than 200,000 books. Continue on foot through the square of Hradcany to nearby main entrance of Prague Castle, the residence of medieval Czech kings and Austrian emperors as well as current Czech presidents. Tour the castle, including Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, Golden Lane, St Vitus Cathedral, and Rosenberg Palace. Walk through the St.Wenceslas Vineyard with beautiful panoramic views of the Waldstejn Gardens, and on past Lesser Town to Charles Bridge connecting the Lesser Town and the Old Town of Prague.
Stroll across the Charles Bridge over the river Vltava and take in the amazing views surrounded by local street musicians and artists. Follow the streets to the Old Town Square where the famous Astronomical Clock is situated and admired by all. After lunch continue the tour to the Jewish Quarter of Prague. Learn the history of Jewish culture and visit several synagogues (Old- New, Spanish, Pinkas, Jerusalem or Maisel Synagogue, Old Jewish Cemetery and Jewish Museum of Prague – each with their own interesting history). End your tour of Prague with a one hour river cruise where you can refresh yourself, have a drink and enjoy a different perspective of Prague.
