Arrive Budapest and meet your guide for a full day of sightseeing. Begin at Heroes Square, then walk down Andrássy Street, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002. Stop at the neoclassical St. Stephen’s Basilica which has over 8,000 worshippers. In the afternoon explore the historic Castle District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Matthias Church which was originally built in 1015. Climb the stairs of the Fisherman’s Bastion and enjoy a gorgeous view of the Danube. Transfer to your preferred hotel and settle in for the next two nights.
After breakfast, meet your guide for a half-day tour. Visit the picturesque little town of Szentendre with its winding, narrow streets, church towers, and colored houses. It is known for its many museums, including the famous Marzipan Museum, where you can learn about the confectionary delight and have the opportunity to purchase marzipan products along with other Hungarian delicacies. Return to Budapest. The afternoon is free for shopping and personal exploration.
This morning depart for Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. Enjoy a panoramic tour that takes you to the City Hall Museum, National Theatre and Bratislava Castle, prominently situated on a plateau overlooking the Danube. Transfer to your preferred hotel for overnight.
Embark on a morning cruise on the beautiful Danube to Vienna. In the afternoon, tour Austria’s capital and largest city. The remarkable sights of the city include St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Opera House, Karlskirche, and the City Hall. Visit the stunning Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the imperial family, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire its rococo rooms, park and gardens that take you back to the Baroque culture. Transfer to your preferred hotel.
Depart for Cesky Krumlov, a small city in the South Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. Walk through the historical center with your guide and see the winding streets full of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque houses. You will have time for lunch in a medieval eatery before your visit of Cesky Krumlov Castle. The expansive complex above the Vltava River is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Drive to Prague and check in to your preferred hotel.
After breakfast embark on a full day city tour. Visit the Castle; take a guided walk through the castle’s interiors, learning about its rich history. Step into the St. Vitus Cathedral and stroll the Golden Lane. Continue through Lesser Town and across the Charles Bridge to the Old Town. The Old Town Square is dominated by the Church of Our Lady of Tyn and the Town Hall where the world-famous Astronomical Clock is found. Follow the royal route and get to know all the famous sights in the Old Town of Prague. Take time for a little shopping or for more exploration before turning in to your preferred hotel for the night.
