Short Break in Naples

An ideal cruise extension, either before or after your Mediterranean voyage, Naples is a worthy destination in its own right.  In addition, it is a perfect base from which to visit the famous archaeological ruins of Pompei, ascend Mount Vesuvius,  drive around the Amalfi Coast, or take a full-day tour to Capri. 

Day 1 Naples

Arrive at Capodichino Airport.  A driver will be waiting for you outside Customs.  Transfer by private car or minivan, depending on number of guests, from the airport to the hotel.

Lunch and dinner under own arrangements

Overnight at preferred hotel.

Day 2 Naples

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.  Depart on a morning tour with car and English-speaking guide to see the highlights of the city.  Included will be The Christ Statue with Veil, the district of St. Gergorio Armeno, and the curiosity of the Crete personages statues and the Naples Underground. Have a panoramic tour and view of the bay, then stop for your Neapolitan pizza experience.

Spend the afternoon at the Archaeological Museum with an English speaking guide.  It is the place where the most important findings from the excavation of Pompei, Ercolanum, and Stabia are housed.  The guide will call you a taxi to take you back to your hotel when your tour is completed.

Day 3 Naples

After breakfast at the hotel, depart on your chosen activity for the day.

 Optional full day tour to Pompei

Transfer by private car for your 2-hour visit of the famous ruins with an English speaking guide.  Return to the hotel.   

 Optional full day Amalfi Drive

Tour around the Amalfi Coast, known as the Bay of Naples, by private car with a  guide.   Included will be stops in Vietri, Positano, and Amalfi.    Return to the hotel.   

 Optional full day tour to Pompei and the top of Mt. Vesuvius

Transfer by private car for your 2-hour visit of the famous ruins with an English speaking guide.  Continue by car to the top of Mt. Vesuvius.  An optional inclusion is available for a Volcano Expert and Lunch with Wine Tasting. Return to the hotel.   

 Optional full day tour to Capri

Meet your private guide and transfer by private car to the harbor for your Hydrofoil ride across the sea to Capri.  Your guide will be with you the whole day while you explore Capri with Funicular Tickets and a tour of the Blue Grotto.   Return to the hotel. 

Day 4 Departure from Naples

After breakfast, bid farewell to Naples as you transfer to the harbor to embark on your cruise or to the airport for your departure to your next destination.
